The 13^th annual Central European logistics and transport congress, EASTLOG 2010, took place on May 27-28, 2010 at the TOP Hotel Praha, hosting hundreds of professionals from across the logistics industry. Once again, EASTLOG 2010 offered an attractive program of events giving each and every participant enough variety to custom shape the congress according to his or her needs. Several program segments, shedding light on various areas of the logistics market, attracted a record 282 delegates this year. Participants were able to choose between the main conference program focused predominately on increasing supply-chain efficiency and the workshop on effective warehouse management. The perennial Business Arena and its accompanying program of events consisting of Company Seminars, Corporate Events and this year’s debut of the Combined Transport Meeting hosted some 372 visitors. And of course, this year’s EASTLOG Congress also featured the highly anticipated Logistics Business Mixer and Logistics Center Excursions.

The entire EASTLOG 2010 program was underlined by the one-word theme: Efficiency. “The accelerating economic recession has reminded us all of the necessity to constantly strive for the most efficient ways of running our business. Logistics looks for ways to achieve the very best results in the cheapest way possible. The market is crying out for the need to increase efficiency not only by pushing down prices, but also in the area of strategy, the implementation of modern technology and cooperation throughout the supply chain. This year’s EASTLOG responded to these trends and it was obvious that each main program segment was a reaction to the interests of logistics specialists who recognize the need to do their work professionally and rationally,” commented Jaroslav Smíšek, Logistics Group Manager for ATOZ EVENT, organizer of the EASTLOG Congress.
