Logistics HR Forum
One of the most significant additions to the jubilee 10th annual EASTLOG forum was the Logistics HR Forum, which took place on April 18, 2007 at the TOP HOTELU Praha. The goal of the forum was twofold: to make contact with young talent from select colleges, universities and secondary schools, and to create a useful and beneficial means for HR managers and other professionals to exchange experiences in the area of HR in logistics.
The Logistics HR Forum program took place in several blocks throughout the day. The pre-lunch seminars for college and university students focusing on logistics and transport was attended by 55 students.
The pre-lunch Discussion Forum for managers was attended by 45 HR managers, recruiters and top and middle managers from logistics companies.
The afternoon program opened with the Job Fair, which gave recruiters the opportunity to meet and greet with potential employees from a pool of college, university, secondary school and vocational school graduates looking to possibly build careers in logistics. Some 18 companies (e.g. DHL, Geis CZ, Jungheinrich) presented themselvesto the 200 visitors (students and current young logistics professionals) of the Job Fair.
