Tomáš Moravec

Graduated from VŠE Praha in 1992, faculty of transportation economics. From the beginning of his career he has held managerial positions at several companies in the segment of frozen and chilled food distribution in the CR and Slovakia. From 1997 he was Logistics Manager for MAKRO Cash & Carry ČR, and since 2002 he held the same position at METRO Cash & Carry Slovakia, where he was responsible for the central warehouses, cross-docking centers, in-store logistics, network desing and EDI development. Between 2006 and 2009 he was Logistic Operations Manager CZ/SK for METRO Group LOGISTICS where he managed the services provided by MAKRO/METRO logistics partners and helped develop the METRO Group’s logistics services in Poland and Hungary. Since 2009 he has also been responsible for the METRO Group’s temperature-controlled supply chain segment. In 2005-2006 Moravec was Chairman of the Board of the Physical Distribution workgroup of the Efficient Consumer Response Initiative. He has led numerous logistics training courses and conferences in both the CR and Slovakia.
