In this section you can view the gallery of photos taken at the 11th annual EASTLOG Regional Logistics and Transport Congress, which took place on April 9-11, 2008 at the TOP HOTEL Praha. This year’s congress attracted a record 1,200 visitors.
Business Arena
The central meeting point for logistics professionals at this year’s congress was the Business Arena, which featured presentations by 40 congress partners and an accompanying program of events which included a samurai performance organized by BT ČR and afternoon cocktails at the ProLogis stand. Visitor competitions were held at the presentation stands of CCV, Linde Material Handling ČR and BARCO.
Company Seminars
From the hours of 9 am to 5 pm Business Arena visitors were able to attend presentations by 14 companies in a program block that ran concurrently with other Business Arena events. Company seminars allow partners to present new projects and demonstrate their competitive advantages to the greater professional public.
Regional Days
In addition to the individual Transport Meeting conference, the newly introduced Regional Days is a two-day program block presenting the logistics and transport activities of neighboring Central European countries. Professionals from the region were invited to EASTLOG to answer questions and talk business with congress visitors under the auspices of the Embassies of Poland, Slovakia, Romania and Hungary. Country presentations were accompanied by samplings of national cuisine and a program of activities and events featuring foreign professional organizations from each country as well as leading foreign trade publishers.
Conferences
This year’s jam-packed two-day program of conferences at the TOP HOTEL Praha featured 210 delegates, 31 lecturers and 16 professional contributions in an all new presentation format followed by topical panel discussions.
Logistics HR Forum
In its second year, feedback on the Logistics HR Forum was very positive. This full-day program for HR line managers, personnel agencies, school representatives and students focusing on a career in logistics and transport was broken down into the following three interactive sections designed to bring together theory and practice in the field of HR: the HR Managers Seminar, a Seminar for Students and the highly anticipated Job Fair.

Corporate Events – Modern IT Systems in Logistics by BARCO
The main theme of this topical seminar was Warehouse Management for real-time administration of warehouse operations, RFID technology for automatic and non-contact identification and RTLS systems using RFID WiFi tag technology.
Corporate Events – RFID-EPC Round Table by GS1 ČR
The GS1 interactive workshop group tackles the issue of RFID and EPC (electronic products codes) electronic identification with other professionals from the field.
The 8th Logistics Business Mixer
An evening program of partner activities including entertainment and games for logistics and transport professionals and logistics suppliers. In its eighth season, the LBM concluded day one of the congress and hosted 350 guests.
Transport Meeting
By far the most successful innovation of the 11th annual EASTLOG Congress, the Transport Meeting took place on April 10, 2008 and was attended by 160 logistics and transport professionals and other visitors interested in the issues facing today’s road and rail transport sector.
Closing Cocktail
The 11th annual EASTLOG Congress concluded with a closing cocktail for the first time this year, accompanied by the live tunes of No Problem and magic by illusionist Paul Merild. Great food was also on hand as the lucky winners of the EASTLOG Pass drawing were awarded valuable prizes. FM Logistics Sales Director for the CR and Slovakia and Event Partner Michal Manďák, gave a warm thanks to guests as the two-day Business Arena marathon came to a close.
Logistics Center Excursions
The EASTLOG conference program wouldn’t be complete without the concluding day trips to select major logistics centers throughout the CR. This year’s program offered excursions to five logistics operations broken down into three separate guided tours. A total of 118 participants took part.
